Pricing: £20–40 single sessions, £80–200 monthly memberships. Most cabins run 50–60 °C with far-infrared, sometimes full-spectrum. Sessions are usually 30–45 minutes.
Research context: the Laukkanen Finnish sauna cohort studies (2015, 2018) provide the strongest cardiovascular evidence — but those data are from traditional 80–90 °C saunas, not IR. Direct IR studies (Beever 2009, Ohori 2012) are smaller. The 'detox via sweat' marketing claim isn't well supported by peer-reviewed literature. UK studios that lean heavily on those claims warrant scepticism; the cardiovascular and recovery benefits are real but operate through different mechanisms than detoxification.
